  • Welsh End Farm is situated approximately 5 miles from the town of Whitchurch, 1.3 miles from the village of Whixall and about 5.9 miles from Wem . Whixall is on the border of Wales, hence the hamlet called Welsh End.

The Shropshire Way footpath also runs through the village. Whixall Marina lies on the Prees branch of the Llangollen Canal, part of the Shropshire Union Canal.
