Local information

  • Greet is a small Cotswold village lying just to the north of the ancient market town of Winchcombe almost equidistant between Cheltenham and Broadway. The village lies just below the Cotswold escarpment on the edge of the Vale of Evesham, which is renowned for its horticulture.
  • Winchcombe is sited in a wide combe on the northwest edge of the Cotswolds and was of great importance in the Saxon period. Thereafter the town declined after the dissolution of the monasteries until the arrival of the Dent family at nearby Sudelely Castle. Emma Dent was a great benefactor and was instrumental in reviving the towns fortunes in the mid 19th Century. Today this small historic Cotswold town is a flourishing community with an excellent range of speciality shops, restaurants, state schools and the important wool Church of St. Peter.
  • The property is conveniently situated for the major centre of Cheltenham with its excellent reputation for education and 9 miles from Junction 9 of the M5 Motorway, which in turn accesses the important centres of Birmingham, Gloucester and Bristol.
