A characterful eco-friendly development of nine homes.
La Porte is a Grade 3 farm complex of historical interest with one of the buildings dating back to the 15th century. This most recent chapter of the sites long history sees it converted into nine characterful family homes of two to four bedrooms.
All nine houses are insulated to a very high level with new roofs and new heritage hardwood double glazed doors and windows throughout. Phase one of the development comprises six homes located to the south of the site (1 x 2 Bed, 4 x 3 Bed and 1 x 4 Bed), completing from late January 2024.
Each house has at least two parking spaces, one of which comes with electric car charging facilities and all but one have at least one garage space with a storage loft above, to be completed in Phase 2 of the development.
All nine houses have good sized private patios and gardens and there will be large community amenity spaces at both ends of the site in the form of a picnic/play area to the east and a rewilded nature area with paths for walking to the west.
The major USP of this eco-community is that all houses are connected to a district heating system which runs off on-site generated renewable energy.
