    About this property

    • Six Chimneys was originally built some 300 years ago, however it is now a very well presented family home that has been thoroughly modernised and extended by the current owners.
The accommodation is arranged over 2 floors with the ground floor comprising entrance porch leading to the hall off which there is a large dining kitchen with modern free standing units and an oil fired 2 hob Rayburn, separate utility room with plumbing for washing machine & dishwasher, shower room and WC, very comfortable sitting room with a stunning large granite inglenook and traditional woodburner and access into the garden room.

On the first floor there are four double bedrooms, the master being dual aspect with views over open countryside. The guest bedroom to the front of the house and the family bathroom have views across to St Ives Bay and Carn Brea.

      Gardens and Exterior

The house is surrounded by wild meadows, 9 acres of are to be sold with the property. A further five acres are available by separate negotiation.
The gardens are laid to lawn and are edged by a series of low walls which surround the house and, along with a large patio to the rear, provide Six Chimneys with a choice of areas in which to sit and enjoy the morning or afternoon sun. There is an old linhay (small barn) in the rear garden, which is currently used for storage and has on the exterior wall an original alcove & chimney, which the current owners use for BBQ's.
To the left of the property there is another barn, which has planning permission (2 years remaining) to convert into a 2-bedroom separate dwelling. (Plans are available)
There is also a large, sheltered, historical vegetable garden. However this would need some work to bring back into production. Access to the property is up a long tarmacked, then gravelled drive to the house with ample parking.
