    About this property

    • Windfield House is approached over a gravelled drive with parking and garaging to the front. It is a well-proportioned, family home built in 1999 that has subsequently been updated and extended. The house is situated on the edge of the popular village of Highclere. There is a superb outlook to the rear over the gardens to a border of mature trees and rural views beyond. The house was extended in 2021 to create a garden room, which provides an excellent entertaining space.
Windfield House is entered via a large vaulted entrance hall and gives access to the kitchen and some of the main reception rooms. The sitting room is large and light being double aspect with an open fire and there is an adjoining dining room and an open plan kitchen and family room. Both the sitting room and family room have doors to the garden room. The garden room is currently used as a games room and provides a large flexible space ideal for entertaining with large sliding doors out to the garden. There is also a study, utility room and cloakroom. On the first floor the galleried landing gives access to all rooms. The principal suite is at the rear with an en suite shower room with two basins. The four remaining bedrooms are all doubles and share two family bathrooms.
The rear garden is flat and predominantly laid to lawn with terracing running along the rear elevation of the property facing west.
There is a separate covered seating area ideal for entertaining with BBQ and bar area. Also to the rear of the property is a studio with water and power which would be perfect for an outdoor office and working from home.
