    About this property

    • City Mead was built in the 1980s and is set within a secluded plot backing onto open farmland in the ownership of the sellers. The house has brick elevations under a tiled roof and although the accommodation is of a comfortable size and well laid out over two floors, there is undoubtedly scope to reconfigure the property and possibly extend subject to the necessary consents. On the ground floor is a spacious hallway, off which is the sitting room with fireplace and wood burning stove. From here is access to a conservatory overlooking the garden and the glorious backdrop of Eastfield Hill. Across the hall is a dining room with serving hatch from the kitchen, which is next door. From the kitchen a door leads to the utility room and a back door to a covered porch and the rear door to the garage. On the first floor is a principal bedroom with built in wardrobes and an en suite shower.

      Outside
The house is approached from the village via a no through track from where a gravelled private drive leads to the front of the property. The drive provides ample parking and access to a double garage with up and over doors. The gardens at City Mead will undoubtedly be a draw particularly because of the lovely views . To the front is a level lawn bordered by mature hedging, which sweeps round to the south where there are several mature fruit trees and access to the footpath and bridleway. The lawn continues round to the rear (east) of the house and rises gently to the rear of the plot where a further mature hedge provides the boundary to open farmland. The field that wraps around the boundary of the property (Lot two) could be available by separate negotiation and extend t just over seven acres.
